According to a study published last month by Green Press Initiative, Tyson Miller finds that the publishing industry is making great strides across the board to "green-up" their practices.
Not bad for an industry that uses 1.5 million metric tons of paper per year.
The biggest change across the board is recycling--many companies are making a huge effort to recycle paper. Notes Miller,
"There is great support in theory for going greener, but results are uneven. Just over half of publishers, for instance, have set specific goals for increasing use of recycled paper. About 60% have a formal environmental policy or are in the process of completing one."
Seems to me that recycling is a no brainer. What about digitizing the work flow?
